A Community Together To Crush The Stigma
September 22nd, 2018 was a great day for crushing, and crush we did! Seeing all the smiles, dancing, and fun had by everyone involved; it really confirmed the whole reason we started this run. We wanted to show sufferers the support they had within the community and that was definitely accomplished! You all were the first to be a part of this cause, making a history of its own, and you should be proud of that. We want to reach out to you and thank you for all your kindness and patience throughout this process. As a first-year run, we made sure to take notes on things we can improve on for next year and have even thought of some fun ideas to execute before Crush Run 2019! As we continue to Crush the Stigma, be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram so you can see everything we’re up to. We’d love for you to be with us every step of the way as we continue on with this fight against the stigmas associated with mood disorders.
Big Smiles and Big Moments
This whole week, we’ve been enjoying looking at the photos from race day! At a glance, you can spot a smile in each and every picture and that proved to us that the day was a success. Even more so, the number of pictures that exhibited the support and kindness from all of you was the cherry on the cake. You all were cheering people on, giving high-fives, dancing, carrying kids on your shoulders, walking your pups across the finish line … that is precisely what we’ve been looking for in our community and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Check out all the photos from the event in our HERE! Feel free to download the pictures and share all over social media so others can see the warmth of human kindness radiating from your photos!
We also wanted to take this time to thank our volunteers and photographers for helping us comb out every detail. We definitely couldn’t do the run without our faithful friends and family stepping up to help without hesitation. Thank you for always being there for us while we chase this crazy dream of ours.
Another shout out has to go out to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place runners in both the Men’s and Women’s Division … way to swoop up those rad trophies!

Lastly, we are proud to announce the final amount we will be donating to the ADAA. Drumroll please ……. with your help, together we raised $1,900 to send to the ADAA for research and support! Without really knowing what to expect in the beginning, this is a huge accomplishment and it sets the bar high for next year. Great job, everyone!
We’d love for you all to keep in touch with us and stay involved as much as possible. We’ve never had the intention of stopping after our first event, so keep an eye out for what’s to come as some big announcements will be out soon. It can only continue to grow from here and we hope you’re looking forward to the Crush future as much as we are!
